Celle, 2019-04-26 IER GmbH just received a major order from Transdev Vertrieb GmbH. Scope of the order with a 10 years term is the technical maintenance of the sales systems (450 stationary ticket vending machines, 440 validator and 21 sales agencies) in the area of the transport association”Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR)” in Germany.

From December 15th onwards, Transdev Vertrieb GmbH will take care of all sales services for the public railways within VRR until January 31st, 2030. Currently, more than 8 million people live in the area of the the VRR. On working days more than 4 million passengers are being served by public transport.

IER GmbH will set up a local project office for this project within the VRR area and implement a dedicated team of service technicians. Peaks can be served flexible by utilising IER GmbHs nationwide network of field technicians. „The implementation of this project is quite challenging. To meet the ambitious MTTRs we will link the ITSM-tools of both, Transdev and IER, via an automated interface. So we can obtain almost full automated services processes.“ explains Mandy Schulz, Business unit manager End-User-Computing (EUC) and duly authorised person of IER.

This project does not only represent one of the largest single contracts during the more than 20 years lasting company history of IER GmbH but also the most significant success in IER GmbHs target of diversification of services to new area of application.
